CUSTOMER SERVICE & TECHNICAL SUPPORT AGENT (Montreal - Snowdon Metro)

Datavalet is looking to fill full-time and part-time positions in its technical support centre.
We need sharp minds to assist non-technical users with technical issues.
1) We need people who can work evenings until midnight (we're right by Snowdon Metro)
2) Available for 24 to 40 hours of work per week. (3 to 5 shifts)
3) Must also be available on weekends.
Students are welcome to apply.
Training is fully paid and you get paid for your full shift. Meaning if you work 8 hours in a day, you get paid for the full 8 hours.
Medical benefits kick in after your 3-month probationary period.

Position Responsibilities:
As one of our technical support agents, you will be expected to:
• Take English and French calls from all over North America, England, France and the United Arab Emirates and assist the end-user with their network, customer and computer issues.
• Take detailed notes of each case that you tackle within our ticketing application.
• Remotely maintain a vast network of servers, switches, access points and other network equipment.
• Escalate any issues that fall beyond the scope of your duties to your managers.
• Bring forward ideas and suggestions to further improve our services.
Experience:
If you want to be a part of our team, then you have to have the right type of knowledge and attitude. We are looking for techs who know their stuff. If that's you, keep on reading.
Do you know this stuff as well as you know that Han shot first?
• The Internet (if you are scratching your head, stop reading, right now!)
• Web browser & email configurations: pop server, SMTP authentication, proxies, cache
• DNS server, gateway, ping, SSH, Putty, CLI, WiFi switch.
• You have to be able to speak BOTH our National languages
(I don't mean hockey and Tim Horton's, but we can talk about those too)
• Be able to deal with clients over the phone, troubleshoot their issues, while being friendly and approachable.
• Work in an office environment.
• Be assigned a task and be able to execute it with little supervision.
• Mac knowledge a plus
• Know how to get at least 2 flutes in Super Mario 3
