Group Marketing Assistant (Wesmount)

Group Marketing Assistant Job Description:
The role of the Group Marketing Assistant is to provide key administrative support to the Group Marketing Team contingent to the overall daily operational needs
Communication with Brokers and Insurance Carriers
- Coordinates with Website Administrator to update news, product offerings, marketing contacts and special announcements from carriers
- Updates marketing presentation when needed
Group Marketing -- Administration of Request For Proposals (RFPs)
- Assists in receiving and reviewing all materials required for group marketing; Ensures that submissions are complete and all broker requirements are met
- Acknowledges receipt of marketing materials via letter, email or telephone
- Makes arrangements to notify broker(s) of any incomplete or missing information or outstanding requirements
- Upon review, submits marketing specifications to Group Marketing Director for approval and carrier distribution
- Distributes RFP to appropriate carriers via email or fax
- Records RFPs into Group RFP Register; Records the date of marketing, agent, name of company, carrier distribution, number of lives, and current carrier (if applicable)
- Monitors turnaround time for quotations; Ensures that quotations are received within a reasonable period of time
Rate Comparison Spreadsheets and Sales Proposals
- Creates sales packages for brokers for client meetings; includes Group Benefits Proposals and necessary applications / enrolment forms.
- Sends out sales materials in a timely fashion via ICS Courier or hand delivered in order to meet broker assigned deadlines
Materials and Supplies
- Ensures an adequate inventory of office supplies and carrier forms at all times
- Initiates supplies and materials requisition for approval
Training and Personal Development Requirements
- Desk top computer -- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- Basic knowledge of Group Insurance
- Time Management and Organization skills
- Communication/Verbal Skills
