Job Description:
VSC is seeking an Aerospace Mechanical Inspector to inspect complex aircraft structural parts in Mirabel, QC.
Requirements:
•Well experienced in understanding and interpreting CMM data and relating it to the physical features of the parts that the data represents
•Fluent in reading and interpreting drawings including the use of GD&T
•Understanding of multi-axis machining threaded fastener terminology, etc.
•Basic knowledge of metals and their machining and processing (i.e. heat treat) characteristics
•Basic knowledge of DPD/MBD
•Ability to use inspection equipment: calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, etc.
•Inspector will have to travel to New York to be trained at GKN's facility. Must have current passport and must be available to travel
•Comfortable working as Independent Contractor (1099 Tax Form) with hourly pay for this assignment
