Position Description
Based on our continued growth, we currently have an exciting permanent job opportunity for SharePoint Developer.
The SharePoint Developer will be responsible for developing, integrating, implementing and maintaining custom SharePoint 2007 solutions. Along with day-to-day functions creating definitions and templates, workflows, web parts and features, the successful candidate will distil stakeholder business needs into technical functional requirements and follow up by testing all custom-developed components and implementing improvements where needed.
Working under the direction of the Manager, Technology Services, the incumbent will be responsible for a variety of activities such as:
Primary Responsibilities:
• Creating SharePoint sites for different functions of the company (HR, Sales, Marketing, IT Support etc.);
• Managing site content with lists and libraries through SharePoint Designer;
• Automating business processes with SharePoint workflows;
• Creating forms and capture data for workflows and data storage;
• Developing several applications including timesheet applications, expense applications and Support/Ticketing tool;
• Testing all custom-developed components and implementing improvements where needed;
• Training end-users and super-users as required;
• Other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills/background experience:
• Post-secondary degree in Information Technology or equivalent combination of experience and education
• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint 2007 and 2010 (2-5 years of experience in similar profile)
• Knowledge of SQL Server 2005 or 2008
• Experience building custom SharePoint solutions with SharePoint designer
• Experience building dashboards using multiple sources
• Knowledge of Team Foundation Server is a definite asset
