Integration Analyst - Medical Software (Old Montreal)

The integration Analyst is responsible for providing proper analysis, design and maintenance of interfaces. The analyst will be developing code and scripts in order to formulate HL7 interfaces between Purkinje's EMR and various EMR/Hospital applications.
The chosen individual will design, develop and document HL7 and EDI requirements to interface with external customers EMR, EHR, LIS and HIS systems; as well as interfacing with internal staff, external clients, clinicians, administrative clinicians and EMR vendors to coordinate transmission requirements.
Also, the incumbent will analyze and document customer requirements and business workflow for integration of different EMR or lab systems. The analyst will perform and document interface gap analysis. The analyst will configure and test new interfaces between healthcare groups as well as document interface implementations and configurations
This position will need good subject matter expertise in the areas of interface development and other project activities for all interfaces (HL7, non HL7 Interface, Extracts, Scripting, etc.)
He will do the development of interfaces that includes ADT, Orders, Order Status Updates, Add-on orders, charges and transcription etc.
Experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3-4 years of healthcare industry related experience is a plus
• 3 years or more of experience in HL7 interface development and deployment
• EMR systems requirements analysis, data analysis and data integration
• Designing interfaces (HL7, XML, delimited) between multiple systems
• HL7 - Obx, Obr encapsulated PDF Reporting Systems;
• EMR data integrity and testing
• Preferred programming experience or exposure to: JavaScript, XML, C#
• Preferred understanding of healthcare Middleware and ESB
• Technical knowledge datacom protocols that would include: SFTP, FTP, VPN, TCPIP
• Knowledge of BizTalk is a definite plus
Skills
• Scripting language knowledge
• Experience in custom receive/send pipelines
• C#, SQL, XSLT, HTML, and Citrix.
• Web Services (ASP.Net, JAVA Script), and XML.
• Databases (MS-SQL, Oracle)
• Ability to understand Technical and functional specifications for Health Information Exchange
• Ability to lead and work effectively with health care professionals, developers, database staff, testers and analysts in resolving issues and identifying and correcting problems.
• Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to communicate technical issues, understand business and process requirements, and presentation.
• Experienced in development of detailed documentation and specifications.
