Functional Analyst - Medical Software (Old Montreal)

As a member of the Smart Solutions team, the functional analyst will be working in conjunction with the product team to deliver functional requirement documents related to the business analysis.
The candidate will be the contact between the Product team and the Development and Configuration team (Smart Solutions) . The chosen individual needs to understand and adopt the development processes and methodology in place.
Primary responsibilities
• Understand the existing products and their architecture.
• Acquire the knowledge in the manipulation of the internal configuration tools.
• Define for every need a functional analysis that will convert the new business needs into new requirements. The candidate will be asked to identify in this document the following elements: add-ons, add-on's level, guidelines on the method of development/configuration, etc.
• Conduct with the developers/configurators and the testers (QA) review/explanation sessions of the different result analyses.
• Provide ideas for the evaluation of the internal configuration tools.
• Respect the requirements in terms of the provided documentation.
• Contribute to the revision of test plans.
• Assist certification and the user's acceptance tests.
Experience & Skills
• Computer Science Bachelor or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in the development of client/server software product.
• Minimum of 2 years experiences as a Functional Analyst.
• Expertise with relational databases.
• Knowledge of the UML, RUP or other analysis methodologies would be a major asset.
• Expertise with product from the healthcare field would be a major asset.
• Expertise as an ERP (SAP/PeopleSoft/..) analyst or integrator would be a major asset.
• Expertise with the METADATA concept would be a major asset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Bilingualism (French/English), both spoken and written is required
• Capacity to adapt, resourcefulness, ability to manage priorities
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
