Brain Imaging Study (McGill Neurological Institute)

McGill University & the Montreal Neurological Institute seek women aged 18-27 taking Alesse 21 or Depo-Provera who do not experience pain during sexual intercourse to participate in a brain imaging study designed to examine how the brain mediates genital pain.
This research project is directed by Dr. I. Binik, Department of Psychology, McGill University and Dr. P. Schweinhardt, Faculty of Dentistry, McGill University. Participation includes one gynecological examination, a 30-minute interview, a 90-minute sensory testing session, and a 90-minute brain scanning session. Some pain will be experienced during the procedure, but no other health risks are posed. Participants will be reimbursed for their expenses.
