SSENSE is seeking an outstanding Lead Developer who will head our development team. The successful candidate will have leadership skills with the ability to mentor other developers. Our ideal candidate will be as comfortable at coding as teaching others about best practices and quality.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and maintain object oriented web applications in PHP, MySQL
• Train, mentor and oversee development team and ensure solutions are best in class
• Perform code verification and submit all updates to production servers
• Drive innovation throughout the company by delivering technical solutions using the latest technologies and methods
• Oversee the architecture and operations of all front end and back end website modules
• Liaise with host to resolve mission critical issues related to system administration
Required skills
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science / Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of web development, database and system administration experience
• Minimum 3 years managing team of developers
• Excellent knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, Javascript, CSS
• Strong understanding of database technologies
• Experience working with high volume web sites
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Excellent analysis, problem solving and communication skills
