OFF Interarts Job Opening: Assistant Studio Manager (Mile-End)
at Human Resources in Montreal
OFF Interarts, a multi-disciplinary studio space and display window situated in the heart of the Mile-End, is looking for an individual to run its various activities for a 6 month contract starting July 2009. OFF Interarts provides the local arts community at large with access to this centrally-located, affordable multi-functional creation, rehearsal, and exhibition space.
The candidate would be responsible for coordinating the maintenance, bookings and promotion of the space and its adjacent vitrines. This individual should be organized, responsible, reliable and able to work within a fast paced cultural environment. Duties include: reception, database work, scheduling, development, contracting and other administrative and artistic support work. Excellent bilingual communication skills required. Past office experience and work with arts organizations are definite assets.
Candidates must be eligible for the Subvention Salariale program from Emploi Quebec (be under/unemployed, or currently receiving EI or Social Assistance benefits).
