Software Developer (C# .Net)
Role Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Application Development, the Software Developer is responsible for ensuring that company software components are expertly designed, tested, debugged, verified, and deployed.
Key Responsibilities:
The Software Developer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Responsible for analysis of current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming.
• Responsible for developing new programs and proofing the program to develop needed changes to assure production of a quality product.
• Tests new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate; assists lower-level programmers with programming assignments.
• Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level.
• Review, to the extent possible, changes in code and the environment that will affect system performance.
• Provide assistance to testers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems.
• Responding promptly and professionally to bug reports.
Key Qualifications:
This opportunity is suitable for an individual who possesses the following experience and attributes:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering required.
• Master Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is considered an asset.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in an Agile development environment required.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment required.
• In depth knowledge of the Microsoft Products (.Net, MSSQL, etc). ASP.Net is considered an asset.
• Expert in C# required.
• Very good knowledge of security and encryption required .
• Possess advanced technical skills.
• Expert knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software systems.
• Experience with CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to "think outside the box".
