Level1 Monitoring Agent (Montreal - Snowdon Metro)

Datavalet is a Montreal based company with 12 years of experience that offers a variety of network services.We provide fully managed networks for over 2500 hotspots, banks, hotels, schools, residences, hospitals and even a municipality! We are a fast growing company that provides ample opportunities for growth and advancement.
Position Responsibilities:
As one of our Network Monitoring Analysts, you will be expected to:
• Gather data from multiple surveillance systems that keep track of the health of our many networked appliances
• Prioritize network health related issues based on our Service Level Agreements
• Troubleshoot, follow up and document according to established processes
• Dispatch technicians on site to repair/replace appliances as needed
• Trend Analysis of major or repeated outages
Do you ever wake up screaming "Han shot first!!!"? If so, you have met one of the qualifications.
The others are:
• The Internet (if you are scratching your head, stop reading, right now!)
• Good understanding of networking (IP addressing, NAT, VPN, 802.11x. . .)
• You have to be able to speak BOTH our National languages
( I don't mean hockey and Tim Horton's, but we can talk about those too)
• Be able to deal with clients over the phone, troubleshoot their issues, while being friendly and approachable.
• Know how to get at least 2 flutes in Super Mario 3
We are looking for people to fill full time shifts with a mix of both weekdays and weekends.
Applicants must have availabilities from 8AM to Midnight, 7 days a week, through which you will be scheduled for a 40 hour work week.
Shift preference is based on employee seniority, this branch of our Support team will be growing like wildfire providing a real opportunity for the right applicant to learn and grown with a team that is currently in full expansion mode.
