O'Leary Funds Management is one of the fastest growing Investment Fund managers in Canada with offices in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, offering both closed-end and open-ended funds distributed across both IIROC and MFDA firms.
O’Leary Funds Management seeks a Bookkeeper to join their Finance team.
The position involves interacting with many groups both within and outside of the company and reporting to the VP Finance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment, have great analytical skills and be a team player.
The opportunity is immediate and compensation is competitive based on experience.
QUALITIES SOUGHT

• Detail oriented
• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Calculate, prepare and issue bills, invoices and account statements according to established procedures
• Processing of income and expense entries, including payables and receivables as well as preparation of payroll deduction at source and GST/QST remittances
• Journal entries, general ledger balancing
• Process day to day accounts payable transactions
• Process cash receipts
• Update spreadsheets
• Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system
• Review and update of accounting and operations procedures
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements
• Ensure compliance with internal/external legal and policy requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION
• Strong understanding of accounting practices
• University degree in Accounting or Finance
• Competence with QuickBooks software
• Minimum 3 years of Bookkeeping experience
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Strong analytical skills
• Bilingual, French and English
