White Box Software Test Specialist (Montreal (Plateau))

Our client is a young, dynamic, progressive, global, and growing presence within in their massively popular niche. They are ramping up their teams to prepare for their big picture plans. They are non-adult, non-online-casino, and located conveniently in the Plateau.
As such, we have been mandated to find.... you!
Responsibilities:
- You will work in an Agile and TDD environment.
- You will actively participate in code reviews and pair programming exercises.
- Our client is a matrix organization.
- Their Product Verticals are?strategically aligned to our business goals. They have rapid release?cycles which will demand that you work side-by-side with fellow Engineers, Managers, Creative UI professionals and Blackbox QA staff members.
- Work with world-class software engineers and problem solvers in your?field with significant input on decisions regarding software design, architecture and test procedures.
Personal Requirements:
- You enjoy writing clean and high quality, robust, scalable and extensible code.
- You are "language agnostic".
- You have extensive experiense in writing automation software. You have done so for high-volume sites/systems and/or transactional systems.
- You maintain outstanding coding and problem solving skills.
- The Software Engineering community (user groups, technical message boards or even?authoring your own technical blog), know you well.
- Fast-paced, informal and constantly changing environments are your thing.
- You love working with new tools, languages?or environments. After all, it's all problem solving and the syntax is secondary.
??Requirements:?
- Five years of your career working on a Unix and/or Linux environment.
- Five years of stable, professional experience in the development and?implementation of test automation. Technologies you know well are Java and J2EE.
- Excellent experience of OO Design and Development web?paradigms and deep experience in working with database-driven?websites.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to provide technical?guidance and mentorship to other software engineers, black box QA members, and operations staff.
- Those without specific domain knowledge, but a passion for?developing elegant code, outrageous problem solving ability and a?track record of success in challenging software development?environments are also welcome.
- Expand an existing automated test suite.
- Contribute to build management scripts and tools.
- Log issues in defect tracking system
- Write tests to regress resolved defects
- BA/BS in Computer Science or other hard science (but all majors?welcome to apply). MS in Computer Science a plus.?
Skills:?
- Experience white box testing eCommerce solutions.
- Experience working with Open Source Software tools and products
- Past experience working with Agile teams and following agile?practices of test-driven development (TDD), re-factoring and continuous?integration.
- Experience in dynamic language like Ruby/Python/Perl is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast pace and challenging environment with?short release cycles.
- Quality centrism
- You can write a unit test that scares developers
- Your bug reports are excellent
