Job offer - Product Director, User Experience
Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for a Product Director, User Experience to help us continue reshaping and defining the future of video and cutting-edge content delivery. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, motivated individual with a passion for building business web applications and drive similar enthusiasm to their team. The candidate will collaborate with a variety of geographically dispersed internal and external teams in designing the user model and interfaces that will exceed user expectations.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Define Web based and Mobile UX and UI look and feel for new and existing products.
Drive UXl innovation through wireframe workflows, prototypes, mock-ups and storyboards.
Responsible for three core software properties, each requiring both company brand consistency and product/market specific usability.
Collaborate with clients and subject matter experts to understand the UX and UI requirements and optimize the user experience for all products.
Work closely with geographically distributed engineering and product management teams to establish a common implementation framework for all products.
Gauge the usability of products, and employ effective problem-solving techniques to implement the best solutions possible.
Identify, communicate, and document best practices for UX design.
Thrive and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and agile environment.
Professional & Personal Requirements
7+ years experience in a user experience or similar capacity.
Proven success in working with multi-location clients and internal teams towards software product user experience and user interface development.
Expertise in information architecture, human interface guidelines, standards, and best practices.
Extensive knowledge of Web-based interface technologies.
Command of creative and design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, OmniGraffle or similar) sufficient to mock-up user experience scenarios (wireframe, web, art, layout, etc.).
Proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project, Keynote, Flash, XML, HTML, etc.
Strong knowledge of various Operating Systems, their versions and design limitations; knowledge of Webkit, iOS and Android is an asset.
Enthusiasm, passion and drive.
Self-starting "go-getter" with a "whatever it takes" attitude to tackle challenges and deliver on objectives.
Results oriented team player with strong collaborative leadership style.
Ability to handle work pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Eagerness in finding simple solutions to complex problems.
Superior written and oral communication skills to deal with all levels of the organization and gain buy-in.
