Human Resources Manager – TMR – 16 month Contract

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 (plus benefits)


Our client is a medium-sized accounting firm in Town of Mount Royal. They are currently looking for a Human Resources Manager for a 16-month maternity leave contract.

The Human Resources Manager maintains and enhances the human resources function by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations and HR policies, programs and practices. He or she oversees all talent acquisition and development from recruitment and selection to the creation of programs to exit interviews.


Position Overview

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager who will be responsible for the following:

Compensation & Benefits

Track and update current salaries by benchmarking and keeping up to date with current salary levels and cost of living increases. Maintain pay equity procedures and communicate regularly with upper management and the Controller. Coordinate performance appraisals and keep staff and management on track, ensuring continuous documentation.

Recruitment, Selection & Retention

Handle the full recruitment and selection cycle including the coordination of campus recruitment, recruitment during tax season and all postings. Liaise with external recruitment firms as required. Coordinate with hiring managers and candidates and handle the attraction and hiring of talent for the firm.
Develop and implement retention strategies through the creation of unique incentives, career development plans and succession planning.


Onboarding

Coordinate the orientation of new hires among payroll, benefits, facilities management and the like.


Training & Development

Identify training needs and appropriate courses for staff development. Provide internal coaching and training to management and staff as required. Ensure proper training is in place for employee integration.


Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in an HR capacity. You must be fluently bilingual with strong influence and interpersonal skills. Ideally you come from a professional services firm and have a strong employee relations background.
