Manager - plant manager, meat industry (Montreal region)

Location: Montreal
Salary: Commensurate with experience and appropriate for managerial level of position, between $48,000-$65,000
Requirements:
-Preferably over 5 years experience in similar position managing in a federally inspected meat plant.
-A post secondary education is a significant asset
-Fully computer literate.
-Bilingual (French and English)
-Have a strong managerial personality, hard work ethic and a teamwork attitude.
-Experience in meat processing such as butchering, deboning, slicing, deli making is considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee the daily plant operations.
-Manage manufacturing operations of fresh meat and delicatessen production.
-Scheduling and hiring of production personnel.
-Ensuring production and quality standards are met.
-Oversee quality assurance personnel, their activities and compliance with HACCP, CFIA, CSST, health and safety regulations and documentation.
-Oversee sanitation.
-Plant efficiencies and cost reductions.
-Optimize yields.
-Supervise employees, supervisor (s) and efficient work practices.
-Oversee equipment and plant maintenance.
