Pharmacy Technician (Dorval)

Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and obtain relevant information pertaining to prescription, insurance and contact information
- Transit information to the pharmacist including drug interaction and side effect of the medication
- Set realistic time delays for the customer
- Provide relevant documentation about illness or medication to the customer
- Insure that pharmacist is informed of all customers needing a consult
- Maintain and control the cash following policies and procedures set by management
- Enter and maintain data in the database
- Regulate the requests of Third party payers conforming with all requirements, review and update corresponding files
- File prescriptions in order of priority according to the baskets and execution time.
- Assist in the execution of filling of the prescriptions, medication preparation and product dosing
- Manage inventory and maintain stock
- Open to all other administrative duties related to the lab
Requirements
- minimum of one year experience as a lab technician in a pharmacy environment
- Available to work 35 hours/ week on a flexible schedule ( 2 nights/week, 1 weekend /month)
- Bilingual ( English/ French
- Team player
- High level of empathy and integrity
- Strong attention to detail and focus
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize
- Familiarity of pharmaceutical products
