Investment Analyst, Trading Platform (Montreal, QC)

We are a young Montreal based company and we are seeking enthusiastic finance or business graduate students that have had finance classes covering stocks, options, and futures to serve as Investment Analyst to the internal clients and users of our web pages. As the Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for the daily and regular auditing and quality assurance of wallstreetsurvivor.com, stocktrak.com, stockstar.ca and any other clients or websites hosted by Stock Trak Group Inc.
Product Management: Auditing, Corporate Actions, Quality Assurance
• Daily auditing and maintenance of our webpages to ensure their accurate reporting
• Auditing winner leaderboards for weekly, monthly prizes or as required
• Handling all products related corporate actions on daily basis. Corporate Actions include dividends, splits, reverse splits, delisted companies, buyouts, spin-offs, mergers, symbol changes, etc.
• Creating auditing and quality analysis reports and documentation whenever necessary
• Liaise with development team, customer support and other stakeholders to resolve trade discrepancies
• Reporting and documenting findings related to auditing, corporate actions and quality assurance
• Duties also include escalating issues / concerns to appropriate resources when necessary
Marketing: Content Writing
• Participate in writing daily market summary and/or stock summaries
• Participate in other marketing related tasks such as sending newsletters
• Participating in writing stock recommendations, winner reviews, etc.
• Advanced data-modeling requirements may arise on an as-needed basis
Skills Required
• Finance Knowledge covering stocks, options, and futures
• BCOM completed, preferably in recent years 2007-2009
• Securities trading experience either at professional level or at minimal, two years at personal level
• Ability to understand stock market trends and stock charts
• Familiarity with financial websites: Google Finance, Yahoo Finance, etc.
• Technology oriented with the ability to learn a sophisticated trading system
• Flexible individual with ability to learn and incorporate company's style and culture
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized
• Ability to work under pressure-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written)
