IT Project Control Officer / IT Project Assistant
Start date: Immediately
Location: Montreal, Quebec
The opportunity
Our client is looking for an intermediate IT project control officer with a minimum of three years of experience as a PCO in a formal project environment.
The successful candidate will report to the PMO manager and will be responsible for supporting the portfolio management processes by collecting, cleaning and standardizing project status information.
In addition, the PCO will provide support for administrative activities within the PMO and projects.
Core Responsibilities
? Collect and clean status reports on all projects
? Assist in the portfolio management process
? Prepare Portfolio status reports
? Train staff in the use of PMO standards and templates
? Facilitate the use of PMO standards by project managers
? Support project administrative activities
? Maintain list of approved vendors
? Maintain PMO standards and templates
? Support the PMO standards development initiative
Mandatory qualifications and selection criteria
• Experience creating master plans from multiple projects
• Exposure to industry standards/methodologies such as PMI, PMBOK, PRINCE2, or similar
• Previous experience with business and IT projects
• Fully proficient with MS Office or equivalent
• Fully proficient with MS project
• Fully proficient with MS Outlook or equivalent
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in English
Ability to:
• Deliver presentations to small groups
• Work in a matrix organization
• Interact at different levels of the organization
• Work with multiple projects simultaneously
