English Translator (Montreal)

Additionally, this person may be asked to review and proof translated texts in addition to evaluating and recruiting translators.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Translation of various texts, mainly press releases but also technical, IT, medical, etc.
Collaborate with translation and editorial team
Assist with glossary management
Build up an in-house memory database
Education : University - Undergraduate (Bachelor's), Translation or related completed
Years of experience related to the job offer : 1 to 2 years experience
Description of qualifications :
Educational requirements: Native knowledge of English, structure and grammar
Good knowledge of Spanish: structure and grammar
Excellent writing skills
Experience in Translation
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer Knowledge of translation software, Trados, Wordfast
Soft Skills:
Must be native in English
Fully fluent in Spanish
Third language an asset
Able to work well in a team
Very attentive to details
Ability to work under pressure
A positive can-do attitude
Language(s) asked for :
Spanish: very good knowledge
English : very good knowledge
French : working knowledge
Other languages : An asset
Salary offered : to be discussed
Number of hours per week : 40,00
Various terms : Day shifts (9-5) and night shifts (12-8). Contract employee with possibility for a permanent opening (various benefits: 2 weeks of vacation, insurances, potential bonus)
