full time UX Designer - Casual Games (Downtown Montreal)

Electronic Arts is seeking an UX Designer to help drive the design of Pogo.com, the largest online casual games community. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in user-centered design.

This position requires an online portfolio demonstrating conceptual and strategic thinking with a focus on social networking and e-commerce sites. This person should have the ability to articulate the rationale behind their design from both a user-centered focus and business prospective.

Portfolio will demonstrate
• Excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills demonstrating an iterative design process
• Case studies illustrating user centered design research and its impact to inform design solutions
• Examples should include wireframes, low and high fidelity prototypes, storyboards, and information architecture mapping
• Projects should include: social networking, e-commerce, mobile and gaming interaction design

Duties and responsibilities
• Ability to work with a team to develop innovative customer centered designs
• Accountable for successful execution of creative direction on assigned projects
• Collaborate closely with a growing global UX team
• Perform and utilize user research which includes heuristic and competitive analyses, contextual inquiries and field observations
• Develop detailed wireframes, flowcharts and other IA deliverables
• Write easy-to-read, but detailed documentation
• Support the needs and values of our users in every detail of a project

Requirements
• Familiarity with current internet development technologies and ability to collaborate with
technologists on complex designs/interactions
• BA or BS with multidisciplinary backgrounds such as psychology, computer science, information sciences, commerce/business, Library Science, Human Computer Interaction or other related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in information architecture for the web.
• Solid knowledge of the requirements of the creative process, including time and resource management
• Experience working on large-scale sites, with significant amounts of content and interactive complexity
• A champion for the user at all times
• Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results
• Ability to laugh and have fun
• Competency in English
