Senior R&D Technician (St-Laurent, QC|)

Senior R&D Technician to join the Hardware Development team. The candidate will participate in all the activities of the department, such as the definition of architecture, the design, the quality control, the certification and the support of the products to the various involved groups.
This position requires an analytical mind, a flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment, a proactive attitude to face challenges and a desire to innovate.
The candidate may be required to travel occasionally for various purposes (certification, installation, etc.).
Roles & Responsibilities
As a member of the Hardware Development team, the candidate will:
• Participate in the electronic design.
• Define the symbols and execute the design of schematics.
• Design the PCB (layout, "footprint").
• Quality control of electrical circuits and cables.
• Quality control of mechanical parts.
• Write the products specifications.
• Provide assistance in the certification of products.
• Perform the maintenance of the laboratory (calibration, test mount, etc.).
Qualifications
• DEC in Electronics or equivalent.
• 5 years experience in a similar position.
• Very good knowledge and skills in electronic design (digital and analog).
• Knowledge in designing printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Familiar with the principles of product management (BOMs, ECN/ECO).
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Knowledge and experience with Altium Designer tools is an asset.
• Analytical skills, superior ability of electronics troubleshooting.
• Desire to learn and to acquire new skills.
• Ability to work under time pressure and to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Motivated, independent and highly organized.
• Very good communication skills and teamwork.
• Bilingual (French and English).
