The Marketing Coordinator will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team of online marketing professionals and will be managing affiliate program accounts for various online businesses across a broad range of industries.
The candidate will work closely with our clients to build successful and profitable affiliate programs by managing relationships with affiliates and providing valuable insight and analysis.
The ideal candidate is a driven person who is well acquainted with e-Commerce and has an interest in online marketing. We are looking for candidates with a good balance of creativity, passion, analytical skill and career ambition.
Position Specific Responsibilities
Apply online research techniques to find potential websites for strategic affiliate partnerships
Negotiate deals and initial set-up of new affiliates
Build and maintain relationships with current affiliates
Create Marketing Tool design briefs for clients (e.g. banners, text links, HTML mailers, etc...)
Write content for press releases, blogs, articles and other marketing channels
Monitor and analyze program performance
Monitor industry websites, discussion forums, blogs and newsletters
Meet with merchants on a weekly basis and prepare weekly meeting agendas followed by notes for clients highlighting activity, outstanding and upcoming tasks
Consult with the Marketing Manager to discuss and recommend strategies for merchants and affiliates and set goals, targets and expectations for merchants and affiliates
Attend industry events, conferences and seminars in Europe, Asia and North America
Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong customer relationship management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, bilingualism an asset
Self-motivated and accountable
Ability to learn new concepts quickly
Basic knowledge and understanding of HTML
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Proficient with Internet based tools
Able to type at least 35 words per minute
Exceptional knowledge of the Internet and how users interact with content
Interest in online marketing and knowledge of internet marketing concepts
Preferred Experience/Education
1 to 2 years experience with an online business
University/College background in marketing or 1 year of marketing experience
