The Company:
Superclick Networks, Inc. develops markets and supports the Superclick Internet Management System (SIMS) in worldwide hospitality markets. Superclick provides hotels with internet access and IP-based service utilizing high-speed DSL, CAT5 wired and wireless technologies. Superclick deploys, installs and project manages its SIMS™ products and provisions customer support through its in-house call center located in Montreal.
The Job:
We are looking for an eager, highly motivated, hands on Deployment Engineer to perform installations worldwide. The job requires extensive travel depending on timing of projects which could be in the range of 75% of time worked. Typical travel periods are for one week but do stretch to two weeks from time to time depending on logistics.
This position is perfect for the person not looking for a 9 to 5 job or someone ready to retire. The successful candidate is an energetic person who loves to build networks, has a passion for trouble shooting and loves to travel the world {Bangkok, Manila, London, Bora Bora, Whistler for instance}. Our customers are top tier hoteliers who are very demanding and expect nothing but excellence. The ideal candidate is a person who is self-confident, remains calm in stressful situations, is analytical and can make the right decision on the go. You will be part of the Superclick’s deployment network where our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. The successful candidate is proud to give meticulous attention to detail, has excellent trouble shooting skills, English written and oral communication skills, autonomous but can also work in a team environment, is organized and a self starter.
Technical Requirements
? Thorough understanding of networking technologies, routing protocols, network management and concepts.
? Protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet, LAN/WAN, routers, switches and VPN.
? OSI Reference Model. 802.11 Technology including access points and antennas.
? HP Procurve family of switches
? Paradyne DSLAM infrastructure.
? Cisco 2600, 2800, and 2500 series of switches or IOS.
? Cisco Aironet devices series of access points.
Professional Experience:
The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience and knowledge of:
? Perform site surveys in both wired and wireless environments.
? Network Design from security to QoS, VLAN
? Install and configure network switches
? Install, configure and test Access Points, Cisco routers, DSL modems, etc.
? Understanding of CAT5 and LMR cabling throughout the site
.
Certifications:
Not necessarily all required
? CWNA: Certified Wireless Network Administrator
? CCDA: Cisco Certfied Design Associate
? CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate
? CQS: Cisco Qualified Specialist (Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist)
? Network+: CompTIA Network+ Certified Professional
? Security+: CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional
Must Have Requirements
? Must be able to travel anywhere in the world without restrictions
? Holder of a Canadian Passport
? On call one weekend per month to answer emergency support calls off site
