The Junior System Analyst reports directly to the Director of IT Operations. Provides first point of contact and applies understanding of computer and POS software and hardware to resolve problems for internal users. As part of IT team, the Junior System Analyst will share response to all IT help calls and e-mails including after-hours support.

Responsibilities will include:

• Application support for developed programs.
• Give 2nd and 3rd level desktop support for Windows/Office users.
• Software installations and new desktop/laptop builds and upgrades.
• Supporting remote laptop and wireless users.
• Updates IT inventory database
• Hardware maintenance for desktops, laptops, servers and printers.
• Install and maintain new computers and telephones as needed

Skills and experience required:

• MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician)
• Diploma of College Studies (2 or 3 year DEC) in Information Technology
• 1-2 years experience supporting Windows users in a business office environment
• Ability to replace, maintain and diagnose faulty hardware
• Excellent communication and technical support skills.
• Enthusiasm for IT and a desire to learn about new technology.
• Any Windows Server, Linux or networking experience would be an advantage.
• The successful candidate will have knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, backup and support
