As of February of 2011, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada is serving the Atlantic Provinces. This region is looking for the following position that will be based in Montreal.
SCHOOL & YOUTH Campaign Coordinator
Position Title: School & Youth Campaign Coordinator part-time position, 15 hours .
Seeking an energetic professional individual to join the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada's School & Youth team. School & Youth is a value-building and service learning program that takes place in schools throughout Canada.
Basic Function: Responsible for implementing certain elements of School & Youth campaign and Welcome Back program for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society within the chapter's chartered area.
Work Direction: Works under the direct supervision and training of the Executive Director or assigned staff to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities. Trains and monitors specific staff
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implements plans for School & Youth recruitment and retention.
• Prepares local elements of campaign materials required for the successful implementation of the School & Youth program.
• Trains and monitors telemarketers for volunteer, donor or participant recruitment and retention.
• Provide training to volunteers to assist with School & Youth programs and chapter events.
• Coordinates elements of promotional activities to ensure the success of events and to enhance public awareness of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and its mission.
• Prepares and/or coordinates and maintains assigned campaign correspondence, financial records and statistical reports as needed.
• Promotes Welcome Back program in schools of the chapter area
• Assist the volunteers who present the program
• Assists, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities.
• Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society mission and its programs to address them.
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Good communication skills, both oral and written in French and English
- Excellent word processing and database management skills
- Capable of balancing multiple priorities effectively
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to excellence
- Highly organized and professional demeanor
- Resourcefulness, promotions savvy and problem solving acumen.
- Strong organizational skills and professional demeanor
- Strong interpersonal skills and judgment
- Minimum preferred education -- Bachelor's Degree
- Have a valid drivers license (ideal)
Selected candidate will begin August 29th, 2011
