Fundraising Coordinator (Montreal)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify funding needs in consultation with staff and Board.
Identify and complete funding applications for diverse sources.
Coordinate all aspects of the organization's fundraising activities: sponsorships, event planning, direct mail campaigns, and third party events.
Work with the Fundraising Committee to develop and implement an innovative fundraising strategy.
Develop communication tools to raise ACCM's profile.
Manage the fundraising database and issue tax receipts.
Motivate and equip staff with basic fundraising skills.
Supervise volunteers and staff of the department.
Maintain statistics and produce reports as required.
Perform other related duties as requested by the Executive Director.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and/or proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, event planning, communications.
Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
Ability to independently initiate projects and activities.
Fluently bilingual (English-French): spoken and written.
Experience creating and managing budgets.
Comfortable in a sex-positive, anti-oppression environment.
Superior organization and time management skills: attentive to details, highly organized, effective delegator, and able to meet tight deadlines.
Passion for working through challenges as they arise; demonstrated experience dealing with high pressure situations and multi-tasking.
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS.
Familiarity with databases and social media.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team.

HOURS: 35 / week
SALARY : $17.50 / hour (6-month probationary rate)
3 weeks vacation and $500 for Health &Wellness benefits after 6 months
