System Administrator (Linux/Cloud) (Montreal)

Our client is a developer of enterprise-class software for Business Process Automation and Collaboration. Their products are entirely web-based, developed using the latest technologies, and are offered to their customers as "Software as a Service" (SaaS). With key partners of this company having history successes within innovative enterprise software development in the market, they have launched this solution to address the growing need for out-of-the-box, customizable applications for automating the product creation process. If you are a gifted and driven System Administrator to lead in the deployment and administration of our client's software on cloud-based and local servers.
Responsibilities:
- Work at the forefront of the latest cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services, Java, Flex, Spring, Hibernate, SQL.
- Deploy software and servers to EC2, AWS and Eucalyptus.
- Deploy and support main application (Java, Apache, Tomcat, Flash, PSQL)
- Manage Cloud servers (APIs, console, scripts)
- Deploy, configure and tuning PostgreSQL cluster
- Keeping Application DB up to date, archiving DB.
- Analyzing and monitoring servers' health and performance, and taking action to resolve issues
- Managing the internal testing and staging environment including test builds
- Update process documentation
- Review entire environment and execute initiatives to reduce failures, defects and improving overall performance.
Skills:
- Bachelor's Level degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Experience with Linux
- Expert scripting skills
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS;) including EC2 and S3
- Knowledge of Postgres and Mysql
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking DNS, LDAP, NFS, SMTP, Linux Account Management
