Web/Graphic Designer Position
Communik8 Media is the official outdoor broadcaster for many prestigious sporting and cultural events all over the world. We cater to the Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Miami Fashion Weeks, Gumball Rally, Euro and World Cup, Olympics, Cannes and Venice Film Festivals, F1 Grand Prix and many more.
We are looking for an experienced Web/Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team at our state-of-the-art offices located in the heart of downtown Montreal.
Requirements:
. Keen understanding of design principles (web and graphic design)
. Must have worked with Adobe Creative Suite 5 (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)
. Expert with Windows, MAC and all major browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera)
. Strong knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Macromedia Flash and the ability to
hand-code
. Experience in website design, dynamic content, web CMS, implementation and testing
. Knowledge of SEO/SEM
. Knowledge and implementation of W3C Web Standards
Qualifications:
. University degree/college diploma in graphic design, web design or a related discipline, or an
acceptable combination of education and experience
. 2-4 years of progressive professional web design experience
. Expert knowledge of web best practices
Other qualifications:
. A positive attitude with the ability to learn and handle design critique positively
. Ability to manage multiple projects and demands for time
. Strong attention to detail
. Creative and critical thinking skills
. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
. Willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges and responsibilities
. Strong conceptualization and organizational skills
. Strong written and verbal communications skills
Fluent in English a must, fluency in French is desirable.
