We are a dynamic team using the latest web technologies to revolutionize fundraising. Our office is near métro Mont-Royal in the Plateau.
The position is 35 hours a week (flexible), for a period of 12 weeks. Your responsibilities will include: – Developing an effective marketing strategy using social media platforms – Generating weekly posts on our blog and create regular updates for other other social media platforms – Making and uploading screencast tutorials for our tools – Establishing an online presence in professional and sectoral networks – Using online survey tools and website metrics to evaluate marketing strategies

You will also have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of the non-profit sector, fundraising, information management, web entrepreneurship, and various web technologies.

We’re looking for someone fun who has excellent web, writing, and editing skills and who is passionate about either the non-profit sector or information management. Professional or academic experience using social media and online tools is also an asset.

AWB Canada Ambassador

Artists Without Borders Canada (AWB Canada) is involved in humanitarian development work. We partner with community organizations and NGOs, from Canada and abroad, to help marginalized individuals or groups of individuals reintegrate socially.

ROLE
The AWB Canada Ambassador is a spokesperson for Artists Without Borders Canada during our annual communication campaign.

OBJECTIVE
The ambassador is to provide information about the organization, speak about the impact of AWB Canada’s empowerment activities, and encourage people to become members of AWB Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Talk to future members about human rights, the problems our participants face, and the impact of AWB Canada’s empowerments activities.
Raise awareness about the key issue of human rights: Making the world a better place.
Sign up new members.
Attend the team meeting at the beginning of each shift.
Fill out the daily progress reports.
Attend twice-monthly meetings.
Complete the initial ambassador training.

REQUIREMENTS
Commitment to supporting the goals and values of AWB Canada.
Relevant experience.
Familiarity with community issues or NGOs, a plus.
Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
Valid driver’s licence, a plus.
