Our clint in Montreal is looking for a full time Loss Prevention Regional Internal Investigator in Montreal, QC.

Overview
• Detect internal theft and fraud, and apprehend Associates who commit theft and fraudulent transactions.
• Maintain accurate and concise case files and information pertaining to those cases
• Prepare case files and testify in court
• Develop and maintain strong working partnerships with Store Management, peers, law enforcement agencies, banking institutions, etc.
• Liaison with Store Management and upper Management regarding incidents that have occurred in their Stores or districts
• Conduct thorough, impartial, ethical investigations with appropriate urgency and diligence
• Maintain appropriate professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality to enhance department image
• Comply with company rules, regulations, and Code of Conduct
• High school diploma (though a post-secondary education is preferred)
• Three years of experience with internal investigations in a retail environment
• Possess good knowledge of all aspects of retail Loss Prevention, operations, and processes
• Strong investigative, analytical, and observations skills, and a strong sense of initiative, urgency, and priority
• Experienced with current CCTV technologies, including installation of covert CCTV equipment
• Strong interviewing skills (training and experience in interviewing and interrogation are preferred)
• Strong communication skills include written, verbal, listening, and making public presentations
• Strong case- and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple investigations in a multi-store environment and managing finite resources adequately
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Bilingual in French and English (preferred)
• French a must
• Proven experience with Exception Reporting System Software in a retail setting
• Excellent moral character and no criminal or similar convictions for which a pardon was not granted
• Knowledge of the Canadian Criminal Code related to relevant offences, rulings, and decisions
• Possess strong computer skills
• Interpersonal and partnership-building skills make you a team player who is friendly, professional, and approachable
• Works well under pressure and possess good common sense

Please note: For any position located in the province of Quebec, verbal and written French skills are essential. English is an asset.
