Project Leader — Store Planning Temporary Position
General Overview
The Store Planning department of ALDO Group requires a Project Leader for a temporary basis. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Development the Project Leader will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities
• Preliminary plan preparation for new store locations in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom and using established design concept per banner.
• Review survey and base building documentation, mall design criteria and code summaries in order to plan store layout that complies and meets business needs.
• Work with Design Team in order to ensure internal design approvals.
• Coordinate with external professional consultants such as architects and engineers in order to ensure production of permit/bid/Landlord approval set of drawings.
• Work within set project schedules and report to manager any schedule issues.
• Coordinate and manage project schedule and budget in partnership with General Contractor.
• Monitor progress of store construction and field verify to deal with deficiencies.
• Ensure efficient communication internally as well as in the field to best coordinate handover and opening dates for stores.

Key Requirements
• CEGEP or university degree in architecture, or design
• 2 —3 years of professional experience related to architecture and design
• Retail experience an asset
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously (Expect approx. 25 annually)
• Shows initiative and is well organized
• A strong team player with great attitude
• Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
• Superior communication skills in English and French

Aperçu et responsabilités
Le service de planification des magasins est présentement à la recherche d’un(e) chef de projet pour une période temporaire. Relevant de le gérant du développement corporative, le ou la candidat(e) prendra en charge les responsabilités suivantes :

• Ébaucher les plans des nouveaux magasins du Canada, des États-Unis et le Royaume Unis à partir du concept établi pour chaque bannière.
• Passer en revue les documents et l‘évaluation de l’immeuble de base ainsi que les critères du centre commercial, afin de concevoir un plan de magasin conforme et répondant aux besoins de l’entreprise.
• Travailler en collaboration avec l‘équipe de conception afin d’obtenir toutes les approbations internes requises.
• Coordonner, à l’aide des différents consultants externes (architectes, ingénieurs, etc.), l‘émission des permis, les soumissions et l’approbation des dessins par le propriétaire.
• Opérer selon l‘échéancier prévu et informer le gérant de tout problème pouvant retarder la date de remise.
• Gérer le calendrier et le budget du projet avec l’entrepreneur général.
• Suivre l’avancement des travaux et se rendre sur les lieux pour régler les déficiences de construction.
• Assurer une communication efficace à l’interne comme sur le terrain afin de respecter autant que possible les dates de remise et d’ouverture prévues.

Exigences
• Diplôme d‘études collégiales ou universitaires en architecture ou en design
• 2 à 3 années d’expérience professionnelle en architecture ou en design
• Expérience dans le marché de détail, un atout
• Aptitude à gérer plusieurs projets en même temps (une trentaine par année)
• Sens de l’organisation et initiative
• Attitude positive et grand esprit d‘équipe
• Connaissances informatiques développées (Microsoft Word et Excel)
